Drones

The University of Pittsburgh recognizes that Unmanned Aircraft Systems (Drones) are creating opportunities for faculty members, students, and staff members in areas related to education, research, and public service. Towards this end, the University implemented Policy RI 13 (Drones), which acknowledges that drones can help support the University mission and governs their use so that drones can be operated safely and in accordance with all applicable legal requirements. The following sections provide important information about the Drones Policy for University community members and other individuals.
